Taco Bell employee fired after refusing to serve a deaf man caught on video

A Taco Bell employee in Ohio has been fired after he refused to serve a deaf customer and all of it was caught on video.

On New Year’s Eve, 25-year-old Brandon Washburn was refused service by a Taco Bell employee, after he pulled his phone out to show what he wanted for his order, as he always does according to his mother who spoke to NBC.

In the video, you can see the drive-thru window closed and Washburn trying to get the attention of the employee, when an employee tells Washburn “It’s against company policy, I can’t do it.” Washburn continues to show his phone to the employee, who is seen getting upset and even says “I will call 911 is you don’t move”, even telling the man ‘and you’re not allowed to record me.”

In the video, you can clearly see two male employees, who do nothing to help the situation, one of them even waves at the at them as they are recording.

Washburns mother, Becky Rosemont Burch, was the one who posted the video on Facebook that has now been shared over 12,00 times. Burch told NBC that her son knew he was being discriminated against.

Taco Bell released a statement to NBC News that states the worker seen in the video, “no longer works for their organization, adding that all the other employees at that Kettering location would be “retrained’ on their policies.

What a shame..

Washburns mother did add that her son uses this method of his at a lot of places and there’s never an issue.
