LOS ANGELES- A Taco Bell employee was fatally shot and killed Saturday night after someone opened fire at a drive-thru, police said.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. when a male drove up to the drive-thru window at the fast-food restaurant and attempted to purchase food with with counterfeit money, reports KTLA.
The employee refused to take the suspects money and an argument ensued.
The suspect then opened fire at the drive-thru, shooting the victim, identified as 41-year-old Alejandro Garcia, in his torso. He was pronounced at the scene.
The victim’s 19-year-old son, who also works at the same Taco Bell, was present during the shooting.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
