Tampa Police Arrest 3 Suspects In Rapper Julio Foolio’s Murder, 2 Others Wanted

TAMPA, FLORIDA – Tampa Police have arrested 3 suspects in connection to the death of rapper Julio Foolio.

Five people have been charged with orchestrating the death of the Jacksonville rapper.

Tampa police Chief Lee Bercaw announced the arrests of three suspects, Isaiah Chance, 21, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Sean Gathright, 18, in a news conference Monday afternoon.

Rashad Murphy, 30, Davion Murphy, 27, have also been charged in the murder, but have not been apprehended. The two men are accused of carrying out the killing alongside Gathright, killing Julio Foolio in an ambush as he was celebrating his 26th birthday in the early morning hours of June 23.

Video footage showed by Bercaw at the news conference showed the three men follow Julio, park across the street from his hotel as his car pulled in, and charge at him with assault rifles and handguns. The driver of the car attempted to flee, but the men chased after the car, firing more rounds in the passenger side where the rapper was seated.

Julio died from his injuries and three other people were wounded.

All five suspects have been charged with first-degree murder. Andrews and Chance were involved in planning the attack, though they did not directly participate in the shooting.

Police said the suspects from the Jacksonville’s street gang Ace’s Top Killers (ATK) and the 1200 Out East Gang worked together to carry out the killing. Jones was an alleged member of the Six Block Gang.

This is a developing story.
