MEXICO- A tattooed cat was rescued from inside a Mexican prison after a drug raid and is now looking for a new home that doesn’t have bars.
The gray Sphynx, who is believed to be around 1 years old, was rescued from the Cereso 3 prison in Ciudad Juárez, where it was abused in the hands of a gang, according to reports.
The cat is tatted on both sides of its abdomen, with one tattoo that reads “Made In Mexico”, a phrase used by Sinaloa Cartel-affiliated street gangs.
The cat was rescued after the prison was raided last month.
An adoption ceremony will be held for the cat on March 1.
