OHIO- A teacher was sentenced to probation and community service on Tuesday after being charged for having sex with a 15-year-old boy student.
Corissa McCalister, 22, was a track and a cross country coach at the Steubenville Catholic Central High School at the time of sexual assault, according to the Steubenville Herald-Star reported.
McCalister took a plea deal in which she admitted to having sex with the boy in exchange for JUST two years of probation and 80 hours of community service.
If she violates these terms, she could face up to 30 months in prison.
The victim was in a car with McCalister, on his way home from a track meeting when she stopped at a nearby fairground and had sex with him. The boy told his mother, who called contacted school officials, who then called police.
McCalister was charged with two counts of sexual battery in April but copped to one count in exchange for the other charge to be dropped.
She lost her teacher’s license and had to register as a sex offender.
