WASHINGTON, D.C.- Police have announced the arrest of a teen suspect in connection to the attempted robbery of Washington Commander running back Brian Robinson Jr.

An unidentified 17-year-old male suspect, who was 16 at the time of the robbery, was arrested and charged, according to Fox News.

Police say another suspect was caught on video footage from the scene of the robbery.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement, which read: “The suspects brandished handguns and attempted to rob the victim.” They added that “during the robbery attempt one of the suspects fired a handgun, striking the victim. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle without obtaining any property. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.”

Robinson Jr. was shot twice in the leg but survived. He underwent rigorous therapy and went back on the field for the Commanders, making his NFL debut on Oct. 9, a month after the shooting.
