Garry Lee Higgins, 17, has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Johnny Peluyera.
According to the police, their release states that Higgins will be charged with murder, murder in the perpetration of a robbery, attempted armed robbery, and attempted resulting in serious bodily injury, which is a level two felony.
On June 12th, Higgins with another male, when they set to meet up with the victim, who was selling his console.
Peluyera had been in contact with the two suspects prior to the meeting.
The victim had taken safety precautions by having his father drive him to a park, where the suspects were. Peluyera had just gotten off of work. He went to two different homes with the suspects and was shot in front of his father, as he waited outside his father’s vehicle with the Xbox.
Peluyera was shot in his back, and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the victims family, he was looking to sell his Xbox to Higgins and the other male suspect so that he could buy a iPhone. He was known as a jokester.
The 18-year-old suspect was released from jail.
