Teen held gun to friend’s head and forced him to flee from police

FLORIDA- An 18-year-old man is accused of allegedly putting a gun a his friend’s and forcing him to flee from police during a traffic stop on Tuesday, police say.

The car, which officers tried to stop because it had fled from them the week before, stopped minutes later and the driver surrendered but the suspect, Davion Smith, allegedly ran away on foot.

Police can be heard on body cam saying “He took him against his will”, as the car drove off, adding “The passenger jumped on him and f******* took him. He took him by force bro, we witnessed it.”

Smith was eventually arrested and located. He has been charged with kidnapping, carrying a concealed firearm, carjacking with a firearm, possession of heroin and other charges.

Police say they found a gun that was reported missing during an armed robbery in March.
