Teen Who Sprayed NYPD Officer With Fire Extinguisher Identified

NYC – A teenager, who was part of a group, seen on video spraying an NYPD traffic enforcement agent fire with a extinguisher has been identified.

Escarlin Polanco Gonzalez, 19, is accused of being the prankster in the video that was recorded Thursday at St. Nicholas Ave and West 118th Street in Harlem.

The agent officer was reportedly sent to the hospital with an eye injury.

The agent was sitting in a parked patrol car around 6:50 a.m. when a gray four-door- sedan, with four people inside — pulled up next to him and a male with a black ski-mask holding a fire extinguisher in his lap.

The masked thug can be seen telling the agent “Yo!”, before spraying him in the face with the extinguisher.

The sedan drove off, and the males in the car can be seen laughing.

Another suspect was seen on video riding on MTA bus.
