According to TMZ, rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing a lawsuit from the clothing line Fashion Nova because he failed to keep his end of their agreement together.
Fashion Nova says they paid the Brooklyn rapper, who’s currently incarcerated, an advance of $225k in Oct of 2018 to promote their clothing brand on his social media accounts and music (something I doubt he would’ve did).
Well, Tekashi 69 was then arrested two weeks after their deal was finalized, and Fashion Nova wants to see the loot.
The affordable clothing line is claiming that Tekashi and his team allegedly hid his criminal proceedings from him and he allegedly promised to pay them back the $225k, which he never did, so they’re now suing him for $2.25 million in their lawsuit.
Yikes.
They’re also claiming that because of his testimony that he gave during his trial, he “totally torpedoed his ability to be a good brand ambassador.”
What I find funny and interesting is that Cardi B has been promoting their brand, and let’s be honest, she’s not a good brand ambassador herself, with the legal issues she’s been having and controversy that followed her after an old video surfaced where she admitted to drugging men as a stripper to rob them.
Let’s see if they get their $2.25 million. Sounds a little bit over the top to me.
Tekashi 6ix9ine will be released this summer from prison, after being locked up on racketeering charges and more.
