Tekashi69 released on bail, but will be will sent to Texas for his misdemeanor charge

(Update) Tekashi69 has been released on bail , after his 3rd request to the judge, but authorities in Texas have asked Manhattan prosecutors to have the rapper returned to Texas for his misdemeanor, and the judge agreed, before setting the bail to $150,000 according to Page 6.

But Texas authorities reached out to Manhattan prosecutors and asked to have Tekashi returned for his misdemeanor case. The judge agreed and set $150,000 cash.

Tekashi69 begged the judge on Thursday to release him on bail, but the judge wasn’t having it according to Page 6. Tekashi69 whose real name is was arrested at JFK Airport on Wednesday, after returning from his U.K. Tour. The rapper had skipped his court appearance to face charges for choking a fan. According to Page 6, Tekashi69 told the judge “I’ve been very remorseful for my lack of responsibility. In the short time I’ve been incarcerated, I’ve learned my lesson to be more respectful”, but judge Ann Scherzer wasn’t hearing it, telling the Brooklyn rapper, “Even though you think it’s just a misdemeanor, it’s a crime”. Tekashi69’s mother was there for moral support, as her son look terrified about heading back to the jail. Tekashi69 will stay in jail until his next court date on July 20th.
