Texas Man Kills Girlfriend After She Had An Abortion In Another State

TEXAS- A man was arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend after she got an abortion in another state, police said.

Harold Thompson, 22, was charged with murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Babriella Gonzalez.

Thompson reportedly became irate after Gonzalez traveled almost 800 miles to Colorado, where abortions are legal, according to Dallas Police.

According to an arrest affidavit, “It believed that the suspect was the father of the child,” and “the suspect did not want (Gonzalez) to get an abortion”, the affidavit states, according to reports.

Thompson was seen walking with Gonzalez Wednesday on surveillance footage before he allegedly pulled a gun out and shot her in the head.

He then continued to shoot her multiple times as she was lying on the ground dying.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thompson has been charged with murder.
