TEXAS – A convenience store clerk was shot and killed by shoplifters over a bag of chips Friday, police said.
One of the suspects allegedly opened fire on the manager around 11:30 a.m. after he followed the duo in his car to stop them from stealing the chips from the gas station, reports KTRK.
The unidentified employee was struck by a bullet and died from his injuries in his car.
Surveillance footage shows the two males in dark clothing enter the store, as the manager follows them. One suspect is then seen putting a bag of chips in his pants before both men exit the store.
The manager can be seen verbally arguing with them before he follows them in his car.
Both suspects fled the scene and are now wanted by police.
