TEXAS- Actor Eddie Hassell, known for his role on NBC’s “Surface” and the Oscar-nominated movie “The Kids Are Alright” was shot to death on Sunday.
When police arrived on the scene, Hassell was found with several gunshots. He was taken to a Hospital, where he later died.
A rep for the 30-year-old actor told Variety that the actor was shot in what appears to be a carjacking, but the incident still remains under investigation.
TMX reports that Bassell was shot in the stomach, in front of his girlfriends building.
Police confirmed a car was taken from the scene, and later recovered.
There haven’t been any arrests.
