GEORGIA- Three employees at a Detention Center have been arrested and charged in connection to the beating of an inmate, which was caught on video footage.
According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Corporal Corrections Officer Mason Garrick, Deputy Ryan Biegel and Deputy Braxton Massey were charged with battery of an inmate and violating the oath of office after an investigation was conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, according to reports.
Shocking video footage shows Jarrett Hobbs, 41, an African American man, in a jail cell surrounded by 5 guards. 3 deputies can be seen repeatedly punching Hobbs as his head is down.
He was dragged from the cell and then thrown against a wall after he was kneed several times by one deputy.
Hobbs was booked into the Camden County Jail on Sept. 3 on drug possession and traffic violation charges.
