HOUSTON- Police are searching for three men who were caught on surveillance footage stealing a $4,200 bottle of liquor that turned out to be a decoy.
Houston police say the incident happened on May 23rd around 2 p.m. when three unidentified men walked into the liquor store and surrounded a locked display case of alcohol.
One of the men asked a store employee to unlock the case, and when the employee did, one of the men took off with the fake bottle before fleeing from the store.
A second man then grabbed another bottle of the same liquor, but when he realized the box was empty, he dropped it upon fleeing.
The owner told police that the bottle was a decoy used for display.
There have been no arrests.
