ARKANAS- Three police officers have been suspended after they were caught on cellphone footage beating a man outside of a convivence store Sunday.
In the 30 second video, the three officers can be seen repeatedly punching and kneeing the man as he laid face down on the ground.
The officers can also be seen stopping and shouting at the woman recording the beating to “stop recording.”
According to reports, the woman who filmed the incident, sent the video to her cousin, who then posted it online, where it has gone viral, gathering over 4 million views.
Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante in a statement released Sunday said that two county deputies and a Mulberry police officer were being suspended as the Arkansas state police conduct an investigation.
Police say that officers had allegedly responded to a report about a man who was making threats to employees at the convenience store.
When officers arrived at the scene, the man allegedly pushed a deputy to the ground.
The man, identified as 27-year-old Randall Worchester, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, terroristic threats and other assault charges.
