Three Suspects Arrested In Connection To Deadly Shooting At Rapper Sexxy Red’s Music Video Shoot

FLORIDA – Three suspects were arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that left a man dead near rapper Sexxy Red’s music video shoot back in September.

Daequan Griffin and Paul Olivier, both 22, and a 17-year-old suspect are now facing first-degree murder charges in the Sept. 14 deadly shooting, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials announced on Thursday.

As I wrote before, the shooting happened on the 3100 block of W. Oakland Park Boulevard, near the Oakland Park Flea Market where rapper Sexxy Red was shooting a music video.

Deputies were in the area responding to a disturbance at the video shoot, when they heard multiple gunshots coming from a near-by gas station and responded to the scene where they found two male victims with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, identified as 36-year-old Anthony Dennis, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was treated for his injuries.

The shooting wasn’t related to the video shoot.

The three suspects were attempting to rob the two victims. Police said the suspects targeted the victims for a Rolex watch and a chain.
