Toronto Rapper Top5 Arrested In Los Angeles On Murder Charge

LOS ANGELES- Rapper Top5 was arrested in Los Angeles after being on the run for a murder charge.

The Toronto rapper, whose real name is Hassan Abdibarik Ali, was wanted for first-degree murder and three counts of fail to comply with recognizance.

Ali is accused of allegedly fatally shooting Hashim Omar Hashi, 20, of Toronto, on Jan. 31, 2021.

Police say Hashi was driving his car into the garage of his apartment building when he was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ali was arrested after the murder but was released with the condition of wearing an ankle monitor which he cut off before fleeing to L.A.
