LOS ANGELES- Canadian Singer/rapper Tory Lanez may possibly be facing felony charges for allegedly shooting rapper Megan The Stallion.
According to The Los Angles Times, the Los Angeles district attorney’s office announced on Wednesday that they are reviewing a potential charge of felony assault with a firearm against Tory Lanez, involving the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Prosecutors said they’re reviewing the high profile case, and have asked the Los Angeles police Dept. to further investigate the incident.
Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was arrested on July 12th, after witnesses told police he was fleeing the scene in his vehicle after the shooting had occurred.
Lanez was arrested, and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in his SUV. The singer was released on a $35,000 bond.
The night that Megan Thee Stallion was shot, she posted a video hours before on her Instagram, showing her inside a pool with Kylie Jenner and Lanez in the background.
Rumors have been circulating that Tory Lanez had allegedly became jealous with Megan, because she was being disrespectful to him in front of Kylie Jenner. Megan was allegedly intoxicated, and got into a very hated argument with him.
Tory Lanez, allegedly shot at Megan Thee Stallion, after she allegedly got physical with him and ran away, hence her gunshot wounds to her ankles, showing she was fleeing.
Lanez allegedly shot at Megan Thee Stallion, but his intentions weren’t to harm her.
If charged, the Canadian born singer could be extradited.
Megan Thee Stallion posted photos on Wednesday, showing her gunshot wounds, with a lengthy caption for those who didn’t believe that she was shot.
Megan has said a lot about what went down on July 12th, but not once has she said that Tory Lanez was the one who shot her.
