Tory Lanez Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison For Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

LOS ANGELES- Singer Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Tuesday after he was convicted of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was convicted in December of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and two other felonies.

Prosecutors were seeking 13-year-old sentence for the Canadian-born rapper. They claimed Megan has been through “years of hell,” (3) since the shooting.

Lanez’s lead attorney Jose Baez said outside of the courthouse “We’re extremely disappointed.” I have been seen vehicular homicide and cases where there’s death, and the defendant still gets less than 10 years,” according to the Associated Press.

Megan says the singer shot her in the foot outside of the SUV they were in, after they were kicked out of Kylie Jenner’s party in the Hollywood Hills.
