Trans woman gets life in prison for murdering boyfriends granddaughter

TEXAS- A judge sentenced a woman to life in prison for the murder of a toddler.

32-year-old Shawn Vincent Boniello, also known as Shayla Angeline Boniello, was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Thursday after pleading guilty to killing 20-month-old Patricia Ann Rader in Dec. of 2018.

Police responded to a call about an an unresponsive infant on Dec. 3. at a residence. First responders tried to revive the little girl but she died, according to several other news outlets.

Rader suffered bruising all over her body, lacerations, and more injuries.

Boniello admitted to police that she slapped, punched, and squeezed Rader for about 3 minutes “until she felt her bones begin to pop and crush”. This is according to an affidavit.

Rader was the grand daughter of Boniello’s boyfriend. He had custody of her.
Boniello and her boyfriend had just moved in after meeting on a dating site.
