NYC- A Riker’s Island inmate was sentenced to 7 years in prison after raping a female inmate.
The victim was taking a shower in Feb. of 2021 when Diamond Blount, a 33-year-old transgender woman approached her from behind, pushed the victim to the ground and raped her, according to reports.
Blount pleaded guilty to rape in the first degree and faces 8 years of post-release supervision. An order of protection was issued, and Blount must require to register as a sex offender.
