LAS VEGAS – Rapper Tupac Shakur’s accused killer “Keffe D” will remain behind bars.
Clark County District Judge Carli Kierny decided to reject house arrest with electronic monitoring for Duane “Keffe D” Davis on Wednesday.
Judge Kierny said she was concerned that Davis and Cash “Wack 100” Jones, who was offering to pay his bail, were planning to profit off of the sale of the accused murderer’s life story.
Davis was charged with murder in connection to the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur who died in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.
Prosecutors argued that Davis plans on benefiting from his story with the help of “Wack 100”, who manages rapper Blueface and other Hip Hop artists, after it was revealed in a jail call that he told Davis about a plan to produce “30 to 40 episodes” of a show based on his story.
In Nevada, convicted killers are not allowed to profit off of their crime.
