MILWAUKEE- Two teen girls have been arrested after allegedly abducting a baby after the mother took them into her home, police say.
Police say the teens, ages 16 and 14 allegedly abducted 3-month-old Anthony L. Crudup Jr. from his home on Wednesday.
The mother told authorities that she took the teen suspects into her home after they told her they had been abused by a man and human trafficked, reports WISN.
When the mother awoke at 2 a.m., she couldn’t find her son, or the girls.
An Amber Alert was issued, and the infant was safely found Wednesday afternoon several blocks down from his home.
The mother told WISN that she hopes the girls are prosecuted “to the max.”
The charges are unclear at this time.
