ARIZONA- UCLA player Mac Etienne was arrested on an assault charge after allegedly spitting on a fan, police say.
Etienne wasn’t identified by the University of Arizona police. He was reportedly taken into custody early Friday following the Bruins’ loss to the Arizona Wildcats in Tuson, reports KVOA-TV Tuscon.
The player’s identity was confirmed by Barstool Animal on Twitter.
The incident happened when the Bruins were heading off the court, and back into their locker room, as fans gathered in near-by seats, with some shouting at the players.
Etienne was allegedly seen on cellphone video exchanging words with a fan as he was leaving the court with his team.
The player is then seen making spitting gestures a fan.
Etienne was then taken into custody.
