LAWRENCE, Mass- Miguel Rivera, 58, has been indicted for the rape and murder of his 11-year-old niece.
Rivera was indicted on charges for rape of a child aggravated by age difference, first degree murder rape of a child, indecent assault and battery with a distributing a class E substance to a minor according to Boston 25 News.
Precious Wallaces, Rivera’s niece was found unresponsive on December 15th at a Rivera’s house. Authorities say that Precious was sleeping when she began “having complications breathing”.
Police say that Rivera told them he had called 911 after “attempting chest compressions.” It was later learned that he had in fact waited 13 minutes before calling emergency services and that was because they looked through video surveillance at his home.
Precious died several days later after being exposed to Fentanyl.
Video from his home also showed Rivera dumping white pills in his bathroom.
