MANHATTAN, NY- (Update)
Police have arrested a man suspected of slashing a 2-year-old in his face.
The NYPD have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Anthony Gonzalez.
Gonzalez has been charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon according to PIX11.
Police are saying that the attack on the toddler was unprovoked.
The 2-year-old boy was being pushed in his stroller by his babysitter on Friday morning, when Gonzalez allegedly went up to the child, slashing him in his face with an unknown object.
The victim was taken to a nearby Hospital where he received stitches above one of his eyes.
