Pittsburgh rapper Jimmy Wopo is dead after police say Wopo and another male were ambushed by gun men. Wopo was a passenger in a 2007 Mazda when more than one person shot the passenger side up of the car. Wopo was pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m. at UPMC Presbyterian. According to reports the rapper died from a bullet to the head. Jimmy Wopo whose real name was Travon Smart was an coming rapper who many in the rap game had their eye on. Wapo’s manager confirmed Wopo’s death via a statement. Taylor Maglin told the Post-Gazette, “Jimmy has passed away, and we ask that you keep his family in your prayers during this tough time.” We’ll keep you updated. The other person who was in the vehicle is in stable condition.
