UTAH- Newly released police body cam shows a 4-year-old shooting at police after his father was arrested at a McDonald’s in February.
As I wrote in February, police were responding to a report that a customer at a McDonald’s drive-thru had allegedly brandished a firearm after becoming upset over his food order being wrong.
When officers arrived at the scene, and began to arrest 27-year-old Sadaat Johnson, his toddler fired at police.
In the body-camera footage, which was released by the Unified Police Department, officers can be heard telling two distraught kids, ages 4 and 3, in the backseat of Johnson’s car, “It’s okay” after the 4-year-old fired a shot.
An officer can also be heard telling officers that it was “a kid”.
A preliminary investigation indicated the suspect told his son to shoot at officers.
Johnson was charged with child abuse, interference with an arresting officer after the incident and aggravated assault.
