GEORGIA- Walmart has reportedly canceled a holiday giveaway that was to be hosted by rapper Gunna, who was recently released from jail for RICO charges.
The holiday event was set to take place on Sunday in South Fulton at a store. It would have fed hundreds of local families, who would have also received $100 gift cards, reports Fox5Atlanta.
South Fulton police said the department was working with Walmart to handle security needs at the event, according to the news station.
The rapper, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, and rapper Young Thug were indicted along two dozen others for charges in violation of the RICO Act.
Prosecutors allege that Young Thug’s Record Label YSL, or Young Slime Life, is a street gang who have allegedly engaged in violent criminal activity in Atlanta.
