Walmart Employee Fired After Confronting Mother Whose Son Was Wearing A Diaper In The Cold

MISSISSIPPI – A Walmart employee claims she was fired from her job, after confronting a mother whose son was wearing only a diaper in freezing weather.

The woman who’s named Felicia, says she her manager fired her Saturday, Jan. 20, after she posted the now viral video of her shaming the mother on her Facebook page.

Felicia has started a GoFundMe page, which reads:

“The child has no clothes, no socks, nor shoes, and I took it upon myself to record it for the [child’s] sake,” Felcia wrote on her campaign. “No, I wasn’t thinking about the consequences at the time…my main focus was on that innocent poor child and to get him some help. I wanted to reach out to some of her family members and case workers.”

The woman says she was fired from a Walmart Supercenter in Byram.

It was about 25 degrees on the day she recorded the neglectful mother. Felicia says she removed the video at the request of her manager, but posted it again, after she lost her job anyways.

The video shows Felicia confronting the mother as she was pushing the boy, who was wearing only her oversized coat, and only underwear.

“That baby only got on a diaper, she said on the video, as the mother was arguing with a male customer who was also concerned for the boy after throwing a frozen bag of food on the toddler’s legs.

‘Somebody call the police on her,” Felicia continued. “That’s just sad.” The mother eventually walked away, as a man is seen putting a gray sweater on the boy.

She says the police were called on the mother, and she was arrested.
