TENNEESEE- A Wendy’s manager allegedly poured hot oil on a customer at a drive-thru after they made a complaint about the food, police say.
Demarrus Pritchett, 23, got into a verbal disagreement with a customer at a Wendy’s drive-thru on Tuesday night, reports WBBJ7 News.
Surveillance footage allegedly showed Pritchett, a shift manager, going into the kitchen and picking up a pan of hot oil. He allegedly then walked back to the drive-thru window and poured the hot oil over the customer through a window.
The victim suffered severe burns to his left arm and side, and had to be treated at a Hospital, WBBJ7 reported.
Pritchett admitted to throwing the oil, saying the customer had been harassing him prior to the incident.
Pritchett was charged with aggravated assault and was released on bond.
