MINNEAPOLIS- The wife of the now ex-police officer Derek Chauvin, is filing for a divorce according to reports.
According to The New York Post, Kellie Chauvin’s attorney’s said on Friday that she’s seeking “dissolution of her marriage.”
Mrs. Chauvin said that she’s “devastated” by George Floyd’s death. A statement on behalf of her and her family read “Her utmost sympathy lies with his family, his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving.”
Her husband has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter for the death of George Floyd, whose death has caused outrage in the country with protest from NYC to Atlanta.
