VIRGINIA- A woman is accused of stealing a car with 5 children inside.
Markell Hancox, stole a man’s Suburban with his five children inside the car after he had stopped when he witnessed a “multi-vehicle collision”, the Currituck County Sheriff’ Office said in a statement on Facebook.
The collision happened on Oct. 3.
The man pulled over on the highway, and when he exited the car to assist, Hancox “jumped and ran”, police said.
Hancox was immediately arrested.
The children were shaken, but unharmed.
Hancox has been charged with five counts of second-degree kidnapping, larceny of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.
