Woman Allegedly Ran Boyfriend Over With Car While He Was Holding Their Toddler

FLORIDA – A woman is accused of running over her boyfriend and their toddler Monday, according to police.

Aaliyah Ross, 27, was arguing with her boyfriend inside of their home – who is the also the father of their 16-month-old toddler- when he went outside to calm down, taking their child with him, but threw a cinder block at Ross’ car, according to Polk County Police.

Ross became upset and placed their two other children, ages 4 and 6-months-old in her car before getting in the driver’s seat, police said.

She then allegedly “lunged” her car toward her boyfriend and the toddler one time before she drove at them again and running over both of them.

Ross kept driving until she drove into her neighbor’s house. She then grabbed her son, who was wounded, while her boyfriend went to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police said that she left her toddler, who was in “critical condition” at her home and left to her sister’s house.

She was later arrested by police.

Her boyfriend went to the home, took the toddler to the hospital. The two other children were taken into child protective services.

The boyfriend suffered bruising to his lungs and body, and the toddler suffered numerous injuries, including broken ribs, a broken left shoulder and collarbone, a partially collapsed lung and abrasions. He remains in the hospital.

Ross was charged with simple domestic battery, hit-and-run resulting in property damage, aggravated battery, child neglect without bodily harm and aggravated child abuse.
