CALIFORNIA- A woman is accused of setting fire to a Target store in order for her to steal baby formula, police said.
Cynthia Torres, 40, was arrested on September 5 after she allegedly caused $500,000 in damages to a Target store, Fox News reports.
The fire began around 7:13 p.m., reaching the store’s ceiling before burning the children’s department.
Authorities believe that Torres started the fire as a distraction to steal baby formula.
There are no further details on her charges, but Torres is currently behind bars on $250,000 bond.
