FLORIDA- A woman was arrested and is facing multiple charges after she went inside of a school and allegedly beat a student with a belt, police said.
Kady Ann Sewell, 33, is accused of hitting a student with a belt at the school on Thursday, reports WTVJ.
The victim’s mother told WTVJ that her son was being bullied by Sewell’s son and defended himself against the boy.
“He called and said someone was bullying him, fat shaming him, and he picked up the child and dropped the child back down on his feet,” the victim’s mother told the new station.
After the incident, Sewell showed up to the school and was somehow able to get through school staff and beat the child with a belt which was caught on camera.
The boy suffered a busted lip.
The suspect and the victim’s mother know each other. Sewell had a restraining order put against her by the victim’s mother, reports WTVJ.
Sewell was booked into Miami-Dade County on charges of child abuse without great bodily harm, trespassing within a school safety alone and educational interference.
