Woman arrested after trying to euthanize her dogs with insulin

OHIO- A woman has been arrested after she tried to euthanize her two dogs at home with insulin.

According to WOIO, 44-year-old Tisha Lynn told police that the reason why she attempted to euthanize her two dogs was because they had got into a fight with another dog, leaving that dog with bad injuries.

She was then told by her complex manager that her two dogs, a 7-year-old German Shepard and her 6-year-old Shepard mix dog had to be euthanized (a.k.a.) killed within 24 hours.

Lynn says that she didn’t have the money to take them to the vet, so she researched ways to kill dogs at home, and decided to to use insulin because she’s a diabetic.

After injecting the two dogs, she went to a laundry mat, where someone had noticed that she was acting very strange, and that person called 911. When police went to her home, they called Humane society. The dogs were taken.

One dog was having seizures on the way to the shelter, and the other dog’s condition is unknown.

Lynn has been charged with two counts of prohibitions concerning an animal companion.

I honestly feel that this woman was literally forced to kill these dogs in a very short matter of time. She couldn’t afford the cost of having put to death by a vet, so she did what she could to keep her home.

Then there is a part of me that thinks those dogs were better off being taken to the Humane Society..
