Woman Charged After Climbing Into Tiger’s Den At New Jersey Zoo

NEW JERSEY – Police have arrested a woman who climbed into a Siberian Tiger’s den, and almost had her hand taken off by the cat.

Zyair Dennis, 24, has been charged with trespassing and violating two city ordinances after she climbed the fence at the Cohanzick Zoo on Aug. 18, stuck her hand inside of the large cat’s enclosure, and began taunting it.

The curious tiger is seen causally walking up to Dennis, taking a sniff at her and then lunging at her.

Dennis is then seen walking back, climbing over the fence, and leaving the den.

The footage showing the incident was released by police last week.

Police said they also have footage of Dennis allegedly attempting to do the same stunt with a bear inside of its enclosure that day.
