Woman charged after starving her teenage son who weighed 26 pounds

PENNSYLVANIA- Elisabet Estrada, 41, has been charged with three felonies after her 16-year-old son was found weighing just 26 pounds last fall.

According to the Public Onion, court documents state that the teen was “frail, gaunt, ribs extremely evident and ravenously hungry.” The documents added that he when he was at the Hospital, he “laid in bed in the fetal position in a way that appeared as though he didn’t have the ability to stretch out in his bed.”

Due to the abuse that he was put through, the teen was non-verbal and developmentally behind. He was also just 44 inches.

Truly heartbreaking..

Police and CPS removed three of the teens siblings from the home, and they were perfectly healthy, unlike him.

The victim, whose name is being withheld to protect his identity, has been doing much better, as he’s being living in foster with his sister.

Estrada was charged with one count of aggravated assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of children and endangering the welfare of children.

She’ currently being held on $25,000 bail, and is due in court for a hearing next Tuesday.
