Milwaukee- A woman has been charged after stealing a car with a 1-year-old boy inside and crashing it, killing the infant.
The 13-month-old boy, identified as Zarion Robinson, was left inside of the unlocked car by his mother as she ran inside of her home Friday night, according to WISN.
The medical examiner report states that’s when someone stole the car and crashed it into a van at N. 35 St. and W. Hope Ave. and killed Zarion, reports WISN.
The report said that speed was a major factor in the crash, adding Zarion “was secured in an infant car seat that was not secured to the vehicle.”
Police have arrested 31-year-old Antwineesha M. Burse, and have charged her with a felony for driving the stolen car without a license “which caused the death of another person.”
If convicted, Burse faces up to 6 years, or more in prison and a fine of just $10,000.
