FLORIDA- A woman has been charged after killing a man who was going on a date with her ex-girlfriend, police say.
Lakoria Shamece Washington, 24, allegedly forced her way inside an apartment earlier this month and fatally shot her ex-girlfriend’s date, Jason Campbell, reports NBC Miami.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Campbell’s body in his complex’s parking lot. He died.
Campbell is the son of former Florida state senator Daphne Campbell.
Police say that Washington’s ex-girlfriend, who hasn’t been identified, hid in a room when Washington stormed into the apartment.
The witness told police that she heard one gunshot, but didn’t witness who killed Campbell.
Washington was seen on video footage in Campbell’s complex.
She was arrested on Monday, and is facing a first-degree charge.
