Woman paralyzed after alleged attack at Pitbull concert
NEW HAMPSHIRE- A woman is paralyzed after she was allegedly attacked over a drink during a Pitbull concert.
Maddy Audet, 22, was dancing with some friends during Sunday’s concert when a man walked up to her and allegedly “hit her so hard” that she was knocked unconscious, according to a fundraiser set up by her brother.
The fundraiser website added “All because this coward thought she took his drink.” “Maddy is now in the hospital without any feeling or movement below her waist.”
Audet told The Boston Globe that she overheard a woman accusing one of her friend’s of stealing and her drink, and in attempt to defuse the situation, Audet offered to buy the woman a drink.
She says afterwards, a man then jumped over three seats and punched her in the face in alleged unprovoked attack.
Audet says she lost feeling from her waist on down when she awoke from being unconscious.
Doctors told her she suffered blunt force trauma to her spinal cord.
No arrests have been made and there is an ongoing investigation.
