ATLANTA- A woman has filed a lawsuit against Popeye’s claiming an employee ripped her out after she complained about her wrong order.
Denetra Dawson says she went to the Popeye’s to get dinner for her children, but her order was wrong, so she went to the drive-thru to have it fixed.
Dawson says when she got up to the drive-thru window, the employees were ignoring her. When they did appear, she says they were shouting at her because she was holding the line up behind her.
She said that’s when one employee allegedly opened Dawson’s passenger door, climbed inside of her car and began attacking her.
Dawson says the employee pulled her hair out, leaving her a large bald spot.
Police identified three of the employees involved in the attack as manager Tenister Evans, her sister and daughter. The other two employees haven’t been identified, WSB-TV reported.
“It took my identity. I took pride in my hair,” Dawson said. “I didn’t even think I was going to make it back to my kids,” she told the outlet.
All three women were charged with battery, but Evans was given an additional charge of obstruction of an officer.
