TEXAS- 27-year-old Krystle Concepcion Villanueva was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the brutal murder of her 5-year-old daughter Giovanna Hernandez.
According to WPDE.com, in 2017, Villanueva’s father-in-law, who she lived with along with her daughter and her daughter’s father called the police after she had stabbed him in his head and back.
When SWAT arrived at the home, they found Villanueva’s daughter decapitated after being stabbed to death.
Villanueva tested positive for alcohol and Marijuana.
During Villanueva’s trial, her defense team said that she admitted to killing her daughter, but it was because she was delusional at the time. Villanueva says that her father-in-law and daughter had been replaced by clones and they had to be killed in order to come back as themselves.
Villanueva was denied pleading insanity on Thursday, even though she had a history of mental illness.
She was charged with capital murder of a child under 10 and 20 years for the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
