HOUSTON – Police killed a woman who opened fire inside of Joel Osteen’s megachurch, leaving a 5-year-old boy injured Sunday.
The woman, who was described as wearing a black trench coat as she was escorting the boy, walked into the church during services around 2 p.m. and began firing a long rifle, Houston police said.
Police fired and struck the woman, but the 5-year-old boy was hit. There was also a 57-year-old man who was shot in the leg.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
