A woman is suing rapper Travis Scott after she claims that she lost her pregnancy during the Astroworld concert.
Shanaia Williamson and her husband were expecting a baby but claims in a wrongful death suit that she had a miscarriage after she was “crushed” by a stampede of fans at the festival, according to Rolling Stone.
“While in attendance at the festival, Shanazia was trampled and crushed resulting in horrific injuries and ultimately the death of her and Jarawd’s unborn child,” the lawsuit states. “In addition, Shanazia sustained injuries to her shoulder, back, leg, chest, stomach and other parts of her body.”
The suit claims that the concert’s promoters, Live Nation and ScoreMore failed to prevent the stampede and had inadequate security which led to the deaths of 10 people and injured hundreds.
The suit also claims that Scott and the promoters were “negligent” because they failed to have medical personnel on standby and didn’t recognize the festival’s safety hazards, reports Rolling Stone.
