Woman Who Killed Child’s Father That Abused Her Sentenced To 210 Days In Jail

MICHIGAN- A woman who fatally stabbed the father of her child as he choked her was sentenced to 7 months in jail Thursday.

Miykiah Sneed, 23, was sentenced Thursday by a judge to serve 210 days in jail and 6 months of probation for the Nov. 2019 deadly stabbing of Malik Dearing, 26, MLive.com reported.

Sneed was pregnant with Dearing’s second child when he began choking her after an argument that turned physical. Sneed fatally stabbed Dearing once in the chest, testifying that she believed her life was in danger.

Dearing would’ve probably survived his injuries, but he was reluctant to go to a hospital, where he was later pronounced.
