GEORGIA – A woman who is accused of shooting a 17-year-old during a road rage incident had her children with her, according to police.
Brittney Griffith, 30, turned herself into police custody Sunday, several hours after the shooting, reports Fox News.
Police say Griffith followed the victim in her vehicle after an apparent road rage incident, pulled up beside the car and began firing, reports the news station.
The teen boy who was sitting in the passenger’s seat, was shot in his head and taken to a hospital where he was placed in stable condition.
Griffth had fled the scene.
Detectives now say that Griffth had her three children inside of the car with her. The children’s ages range from 4 to 9.
Griffith was charged with four counts of aggravated assault, three counts of cruelty to children and one count of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
